2. Every individual’s reactions are different. What is safe for one person, may not be safe for another.

3. Products often change.
(Example: A product that at one time is listed as latex-free, may at a later date not be latex-free. It is always your responsibility to protect yourself and check with the manufacturer to see if the product is still the way it was at the time of our listing and/review here at Allergic Lifestyle.)

We will do the best that we can to keep our information up-to-date here, but in the end what we publish will always be based on information we are given by the manufacturer and/or our personal experience. It is not uncommon for a product to work well for an allergic person, and then be changed – or as industry likes to call it “Improved” – and then becomes something that is not safe for the individual any longer. Therefore one should always be cautious.

It is always a good idea to check with the manufacturer of an unlabeled product yourself before purchase. (When you do, please suggest to the company that they start labeling. Mention to them that a “latex-free” label, “gluten-free” label – or whatever the issue -would be very helpful and also a marketing bonus for them. We are our own best advocates!)
