Tuesday, March 20th, 2012 was the first official day of spring. But in many areas (including my own), nature has been in “spring mode” for quite some time, due to an unseasonably warm winter. Because of this, many areas are experiencing record breaking pollen levels and they are occurring earlier in the season than ever.
I have a friend in Mississippi who said that if she leaves her car parked for only 4 hours, that it requires windshield washing to be able to see to drive, due to all of the tree pollen accumulating on her windshield.
Here in West Virginia, pollen levels are already unnaturally high. We are supposed to have the heavy tree pollen coating everything here, starting next week.
